West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights
Children wait eagerly throughout the year for the summer
vacations to indulge themselves in fun frolic and travelling. But a tiny
virus has jeopardised their plans. WBCPCR proposes to bring back fun in
their lives by launching “Goromer Chhuti” on its website (www.
wbcpcr.org) from 1st May, 2020.
It is a unique online creative space where celebrated authors,
poets, actors, directors, musicians will narrate stories, conduct origami,
acting workshops, recite poems, conduct quiz programmes and so on
for children and offer a way for them to virtually travel anywhere they
dream to escape. The Commission feels that exposure to the wealth of
art, culture and literature will help children cultivate their creative
thinking and develop a sense of wonder at the world and beyond.
